Professor Astroza presented at the 12th Canadian Conference on Earthquake Engineering

The 12th Canadian Conference on Earthquake Engineering (CCEE) was held at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, from June 17 to June 20, 2019. This is the most important international conference on seismic engineering in Canada and brings together researchers, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers, architects, seismologists and regulatory bodies every four years.

Topics included Seismic hazard, Seismology, Codes and standards, Seismic geotechnical issues, Seismic rehabilitation and mitigation, Societal impacts, Risk management, Dam safety, Machine learning applications for seismic reliability of structures and Structural health monitoring.

In this version of the CCEE, professor Astroza presented the following paper:

“Dynamic characterization of a full-scale 5-story R/C seismically damaged building specimen”, co-authored by Gonzalo Gutierrez (former undergraduate student) and Professor Francisco Hernandez and Pablo Diaz from the Universidad de Chile.
