A seminar series on seismic design of civil structures was held at the Universidad de los Andes. In the first session, the presentations focused on seismic design and performance based earthquake engineering of building structures. Engineers Ian Watt, Carlos Peña, Freddy Piña and Mario Lafontaine gave talks. The second session was focused on seismic design of industrial facilities with presentaions by Ramon Montecinos, Carlos Peña, Miguel Medalla and Cristian Urzua. More than 350 engineers attended the seminars.
